PAL Aerospace’s certified a Combi configuration for the DHC-8 commuter series, enabling a flexible mix of passenger and freight capacity. The solution expands the aircraft’s original commuter role, allowing operators to increase cargo and baggage volume while maximizing aircraft utilization.

By configuring the cabin for 45 passengers, the modification introduces a self-contained Class C aft cargo compartment capable of carrying up to 4,000 pounds. Designed for operational flexibility, the Combi solution delivers an effective balance between payload and passenger transport—ideal for both industrial support and regional commuter missions.
