Jake Trainor
Chief Executive Officer

Jake is responsible for strategic planning, coordination and successful operation of the PAL Group of Companies. He joined PAL Aerospace in 2009 as Vice President of Aerospace Services before becoming Chief Operating Officer in 2014. Prior to PAL Aerospace, Jake worked in private equity investment at C.A. Bancorp and as a management consultant with the Oliver Wyman Group’s Aviation & Operations Practice. Earlier in his career, Jake served as a helicopter pilot with 427 Special Operations Aviation Squadron of the Royal Canadian Air Force. He holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from the Royal Military College of Canada and a Master of Business Administration from the Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.

Ben Boehm
Senior Vice President, Aerospace

Ben’s leadership responsibilities include oversight of PAL Engineering, CarteNav Solutions, aircraft development & modification programs, and the mission system integration & service readiness teams. Ben’s career in aerospace began during his time as an engineering officer in the Royal Canadian Air Force and has been followed by 24 years of successively larger leadership roles at Bombardier Aerospace in Montreal, Cascade Aerospace in Abbotsford B.C., and the Wencor Group in Peachtree City Georgia. Ben holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Royal Military College of Canada and an MBA in International Business and Finance from the Schulich School of Business in Toronto.

Joseph Galimberti
Senior Vice President, Public Affairs

Joseph joined PAL in 2018 as Senior Vice President of Public Affairs. Prior to joining PAL, Joseph held a variety of executive positions including President of the Canadian Steel Producers Association, Vice-President of Public and Corporate Affairs at Hill+Knowlton Strategies Canada, Director of Government and Community Relations at Air Canada, and various roles with the Government of Canada. Joseph is co-owner of his family business Broad Street Cycles in Victoria, B.C., and a former Trustee on the Board of Pearson College UWC.

Philip Garbutt
Senior Vice President, Global Support

Philip joined PAL Aerospace as Senior Vice President of Global Support in 2019 with more than three decades of experience in aerospace and defence. He served in the Canadian Armed Forces for 32 years as an Aerospace Engineering Officer, including one year in Afghanistan as Senior Advisor to the Commander of the Afghan Border Police. After retiring from the Armed Forces in 2016, Philip was Chief Technology Officer at Solarship Inc. and Vice President of Business Development at IMP Aerospace & Defence. Philip holds a Bachelor of Physics and Computer Science from Royal Roads Military College and a Master of Defence Studies from the Royal Military College of Canada. He is a graduate of both the Joint Command and Staff and the National Security Programs administered by the Canadian Forces College. He is the recipient of the Order of Military Merit and the Meritorious Service Medal from the Governor General of Canada, a Chief of Defence Staff Commendation, the Afghanistan Campaign Star and the Canadian Decoration

Kent Legge
Chief Financial Officer

Kent joined PAL Aerospace in 2020, assuming primary oversight for the strategic financial management of PAL. Prior to joining PAL, Kent held a number of senior-level finance roles with major organizations, in various jurisdictions. Kent’s most recent position was Vice-President,  Finance for a major conglomerate based in Atlantic Canada, which spanned multiple industries. Originally from Newfoundland, Kent holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Western University, a CPA (CA) designation, along with a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons.) degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland.

Lisa Sparkes
Senior Vice President, Human Resources

As Senior Vice President of Human Resources, Lisa works to ensure PAL Aerospace offers all employees a stimulating work environment that supports their growth. She joined the company in 1995 and held increasingly senior positions until taking on her current role, where she manages all HR functions, including recruitment, compensation and benefits.

Keith Stoodley
Chief Executive Officer (PAL Aerospace, UAE)

Keith handles business unit operations, strategic planning, business development and government relations for PAL Aerospace LLC in the United Arab Emirates. He joined PAL Aerospace in 2005 and has since worked in both domestic and international operations. Before joining the company, Keith acquired extensive international marketing experience, and holds an Honours Bachelor of Science from Memorial University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of British Columbia.
