St. John’s, Newfoundland – PAL is pleased to announce the appointment of Jake Trainor to the position of Chief Executive Officer of PAL. Jake has been with PAL for over 10 years, most recently serving as Chief Operating Officer of PAL Aerospace.

The appointment follows Brian Chafe’s decision to step down as CEO and transition into a role as Advisor to the Executive at PAL. This new role allows Brian to move away from the day-to-day management of the company and provides him the opportunity to spend more time with his family.

“It is a tremendous privilege to be asked to lead this great company we have built together, and I look forward to carrying on the culture of hard work and innovation our customers and clients have come to expect,” said Jake Trainor. “I would like to recognize Brian Chafe’s leadership in guiding PAL’s exceptional growth, and in bringing together the phenomenal team we have today.”

Based in Newfoundland and Labrador, PAL will continue our expansion both domestically and internationally in pursuit of new opportunities and markets. Renowned for leveraging innovation and operational experience gained in the most challenging aviation environments on earth, PAL will remain focused on delivering exceptional services and solutions for our clients and customers.

In addition, Calvin Ash has been appointed President of PAL Airlines, Air Borealis, and Responsible Executive for Moncton Flight College.

“I am very enthusiastic about what the future holds for PAL and excited to take on this new role,” said Calvin Ash. “I am looking forward to working closely with Jake to convert the motivation, energy and engagement of the entire PAL team into results that make us all proud.”

This is an important time for PAL. Across the company, each of our operations provide critical services contributing to the safety and security of the communities in which we operate. We appreciate how vital it is that we continue delivering for our customers and stakeholders going forward.
