An Industry leading “On Demand” Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance special mission platform

Ottawa, Ontario, Canada – Today, PAL Aerospace announced the development of an On Demand Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Special Mission Platform named Force Multiplier that will be available for deployment around the world.

Force Multiplier fits a variety of requirements for surveillance missions under an on demand contracting model that allows customers to rapidly acquire the Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance services they require without owning, operating and maintaining the aircraft platform and required equipment.

PAL Aerospace will own, operate, and provide maintenance for Force Multiplier. In partnership with Thales, Force Multiplier is equipped with the SEARCHMASTER radar and an AMASCOS mission system mainly dedicated for ASW, ASuW and high-end ISR missions.

With the inclusion of CarteNav’s AIMS Mission System software and Surveillance Information portal, the Force Multiplier Special Mission platform will be equipped with mission system suites which will accommodate a diverse range of ISR applications and customer needs.

PAL Aerospace has acquired over 250,000 Special Mission flight hours throughout its 40 Years of Fixed Wing Operations and Surveillance experience. Backed by this extensive knowledge and expertise as an operator of surveillance missions, PAL Aerospace is uniquely qualified to bring this new platform to market with a view towards client needs and future surveillance solutions.

The PAL Aerospace Force Multiplier platform is designed to allow clients to acquire the actionable data, training, force augmentation and experience that they require on this industry leading surveillance platform.

“The announcement of this new investment is transformational for our organization,” said Brian Chafe, Chief Executive Officer, PAL Group. “We are committed to delivering Force Multiplier with our partners, so our customers can react when they need it most. We are confident that our clients will appreciate the approach that we have taken to provide a flexible, proven, reliable and low-risk solution,” added Chafe.

“We are pleased to announce this investment at CANSEC to highlight the commitment of PAL Aerospace and CarteNav Solutions, to support the Government of Canada as they look for creative and innovative solutions to protect our national interests,” stated Michael Sangster, Chief Commercial Officer, PAL Aerospace. “We believe this industry leading solution is a win for all parties. It will meet our global clients’ needs, create high-value jobs in Canada, and will meet the needs that our clients are articulating to us,” said Sangster.

Speaking of the partnership, Pierre-Eric Pommellet, SVP Defence Mission Systems, Thales said, “We have a longstanding cooperation with PAL Aerospace where we have commonly addressed customers’ needs and delivered maritime patrol aircraft with a comprehensive suite of ISR solutions in the past. Through Force Multiplier and the collaboration with PAL Aerospace, Thales will be able to further extend its product service offering and demonstrate our capabilities to our entire global customer base.” About PAL Aerospace
