St. John’s, NL – To respect the memory of the late The Honourable Mr. John Crosbie and in recognition of his significant contributions to our company, to Newfoundland & Labrador and to Canada, PAL Aerospace will conduct a flypast and “tip of the wing” at the Anglican Cathedral of St. John the Baptist at approximately 1:55 PM NST today.
This special flight will be operated by one of PAL Aerospace’s Airborne Maritime Surveillance Division King Air aircraft, which is an appropriate acknowledgment of the profound and lasting impact Mr.
Crosbie had on our company. During his time as the federal cabinet representative for Newfoundland & Labrador, Mr. Crosbie played a pivotal role in PAL securing our first federal government offshore surveillance contract. Through this important work conducted under contract to the Government of Canada since 1990, PAL Aerospace gained experience and expertise which have been fundamental to our global success.
“PAL Aerospace owes a significant debt of gratitude to The Honourable Mr. Crosbie for his steadfast belief that a homegrown, innovative company like ours would meet the federal government’s offshore surveillance requirements,” said Jake Trainor, CEO of PAL Aerospace. “His contribution to Newfoundland & Labrador and to Canada is immense and we are very proud to honour his memory today through this flypast.
